Class Statement
The Advanced Flash Workshop course is designed to primarily provide an additional classroom experience for students to work on more complex advanced projects. This course was added in reaction to the overwhelming amount of students who have already taken the Advanced Flash course (or both Advanced Flash courses) and wanted to take the "next" course. Recommended prerequisites for the Workshop course would be either the Advanced Flash course or a solid working knowledge of actionscript and actionscript 2.0.
You can think of this course as the Advanced Flash course without the lengthy in depth lessons covering the fundamental building blocks of advanced Flash, (which currently occupies 2/3 of the Advanced Flash course). While these topics most likely will be discussed, they will be reinforced (if needed) within the context of specific projects. The primary focus of the course is to work on larger projects during class with an instructor present to guide exploration and troubleshoot. The projects assigned will be based upon the interests and needs of the students, personal projects will be allowed.
