Class Statement

Building on the techniques covered in the Basic Macromedia Flash classes, the goal of this course is to build a solid foundation for ActionScript 1 and 2 and advanced Flash techniques. We will begin with an introduction to basic scripting principles and continue through object and class based flash applicatons. These skills will enable students to build scalable data-driven Flash sites, applications and animations. No previous scripting experience is assumed, and the majority of the course is spent going over the basic programming principles of Actionscript. We will view existing sites and examine the techniques used in their creation. Students will create small Flash experiments and new Flash sites, or modify existing ones.
